Using customer segmentation, I identified the types of people my product aims to serve and their current problem areas. From this, I created a pair of contrasting personas with specific goals which I could design my product around solving.

As good mental health is a holistic blend of professional, social and physical wellbeing, I designed my personas to each focus on a different one of these areas.

Once I defined their goals and narrative, I used behavioural psychology research to identify likely personality traits. The traits reflect how these people are likely to respond to certain suggestions and solutions I discover in my ideation.

Given the projects goal, supporting people to live more happily, I chose an illustrative design aesthetic to give the product a sense of softness and approachability.
